After three drinks I should have been on the floor - nope, not a buzz in sight. #4: The bar outside the concert venue: Very weak drinks. Not a bad seed in the bunch that we found. #3: The staff at registration, at the concert venue, at the restaurant, and especially the bar: all wonderful, kind, friendly, etc. Very convenient to see a concert right downstiars. Nice amenities, bathroom was big and roomy with nice sope, lotions, etc. #2: The hotel room was spacious! Very large room, very comfy bed and pillows, and the room was s-p-o-t-l-e-s-s! Aside from the RIU hotels, this was the cleanest room I've stayed in. There are bleacher seats in the back of the room and they are very close also! No bad seat, folks! It's mainly floor seating, but THERE IS NO BAD SEAT! All of the seats are very close to the stage. This is like the best-kept secret for concert venues in the area.

#1: The event center is awesome for a concert! We were shocked to see a big name play here. Good getaway date place.ĭon't be fooled and think a casino event center isn't the right venue for a concert! So ha ha, water everywhere until turned showerhead and put extra towel down. Saw the review about shower only afterwards. Staff were excellent and accomodating to us newbies, room was comfy, amenities good. Next time we will do pool time, spa time and get into some of our favorite spots in area like Los Olivios. That being said, it really did not get too bad until the numbers (wow) of people picked up after dinner time. Yay! So we knew the casino was smokers paradise like Vegas and Reno. We asked casino staff to orient us and given a mini tour of casino and got our player cards and free plays. Played the 'high rollers' for a night! We have heard about the Friday nite concerts and gambling weekend parties, etc but we focused on a quiet Tuesday, one night trip. So we're ok with valet parking, luggage handling etc. We are not gamblers but were looking for a different experience in a familiar area, so Chumash Casino! We came in with no expectations, actually looking forward to being taken care of by hotel.
